Our commitment to our guests encompasses not only the guest experience, but also your safety, health, and wellbeing.

Emerald Cruises works closely with the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), State and Federal governments, and local and international Government Health agencies to ensure our protocols meet and exceed the latest regulatory requirements. In addition, we are continuously implementing the newest insights that help us to safeguard the health and safety of our guests and staff, while ensuring a truly wonderful guest experience.

Putting your health and wellbeing first

The wellbeing of our guests, our crew, and the communities we visit remains at the heart of everything we do, and we remain focussed on health and safety measures. We also continually adjust our policies to reflect the requirements in the regions we visit.

Vaccination & testing requirements

Emerald Cruises has removed the requirement for guests to confirm their vaccination status or testing requirements when boarding their cruise or journey (from 1 March 2023). We strongly recommend guests to still be vaccinated to travel, to safeguard your health and wellbeing. It remains the responsibility of guests to adhere to any local government and health restrictions or advisories on destinations for their complete journey.

Before travelling

Complete any travel entry requirement forms for the country at the start of your Emerald Cruises journey.
Check with your airline for any updates to protocols or boarding requirements.

PCR/RAT testing

Guests are expected to meet the requirements of entry to the country in which they are embarking on their Emerald Cruises river cruise. We do not require additional PCR or RAT tests when boarding our ships.

Water levels during your cruise

Please be aware that high and low water levels can affect sailing conditions along the rivers. From time to time, we may have to alter your itinerary at short notice due to factors out of our control.
